Needham Golf Club takes great pride in its deep rooted connection to the community and its role as a dedicated partner to the town. Over the years, the club has evolved into much more than a 9-hole golf course, serving as a reliable resource and a welcoming gathering place for residents. By consistently opening its facilities for public functions and civic initiatives, the club ensures that its presence benefits the town well beyond the fairways. Connection to the Community
Needham Community Council – Needham Golf Club is a proud to partner with the Community Council, providing over 350 Thanskgiving meals for seniors in Needham, as well as hosting numerous events for the Council.
Needham Exchange Club – Needham Golf Club is a proud partner of the Exchange Club, providing a reliable and welcoming space for their regular meetings. It’s a great way to support their mission of service and help local leaders connect and give back to the town.
Needham High School Girls & Boys Golf – The club is the proud home turf for both the boys and girls high school teams, giving the kids a top-tier place to practice and compete. It’s great seeing the next generation of Needham golfers out on the course sharpening their game during the season.
NHS Sport Team Banquets – The club is a favorite spot for local sports team banquets, where athletes and their families can celebrate a great season together. Whether it's a high school team or a youth league, we love providing a lively space to hand out awards and wrap up the year.
Voting Location – The club also serves as a polling place for the town, making it easy and convenient for neighbors to stop by and cast their votes. It’s just another way the facilities stay open to the public to support our local civic duties.
Bereavements – The club provides a peaceful and comforting space for families to gather and honor their loved ones during difficult times. Our team takes care of all the details so everyone can focus on supporting each other in a private, respectful setting.
PTC Events - The club is a go-to spot for PTC events, giving local parent-teacher groups a great space to connect and plan for our schools. It’s always a highlight to host these gatherings and support the people working so hard for the kids in town.
Audubon Society
Needham Golf Club is proud to be one of only 16 courses in Massachusetts to earn the prestigious Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary certification. This recognition reflects a deep commitment to preserving the local environment through water conservation, reduced chemical use, and the protection of native wildlife habitats. By maintaining these high standards, the course serves as a thriving green space where nature and golf exist in perfect balance, providing a sustainable landscape that both members and the community can appreciate.
The grounds are buzzing with life, quite literally, thanks to our on-site beehives that produce honey and support the surrounding ecosystem. We’ve also embraced natural land management with our resident goats, while vibrant patches of wildflowers create beautiful corridors for birds and other wildlife to thrive. It’s all part of our mission to ensure the club remains a healthy, diverse environment that honors the natural beauty of the Needham area.
